ABOUT ADRIAN

P1650821 (2).JPG

In normal times, when he's not slaving in the archives or over a word-processor, Adrian adores spending time with Sheila in the gorgeous Wealden area of Sussex and Kent. It is the perfect environment for their 1952 Citroën Traction Avant and, increasingly, a source of very delicious wine. Three grandchildren mop up any time that's left over.

After a first degree in modern languages Adrian worked as an investment analyst in London and Frankfurt. History remained his true passion and a few years ago the moment came to cast down his PC and analyse no more. By blind chance a last minute swerve in the topic of his master's degree took him to the hidden and mighty figure of Sir Horace Wilson, who dominated Whitehall in the late 1930s and is the central figure in his first two books.
